Gypsy Gold Horse Farm

Gypsy Gold Horse Farm is a beautiful property with a quite interesting history. The owner, Dennis, told everyone about the beginnings of the Gypsy Vanner breed including a great historical overview of the gypsy families that he spent time with to learn more about their culture. Dennis is an excellent speaker who kept us engaged with lively and humorous stories of his own personal life in the equine industry including the colorful cast of characters he's met along the way. Afterwords he took us on a guided tour of the farm to meet his menagerie of interesting and beautiful animals. The two hours we spent at Gypsy Gold Horse Farm was an enlightening and thoroughly enjoyable experience.

My husband and I visited Gypsy Gold Horse Farm last Saturday. This was, by far, the best visit of its type I have ever experienced. I knew about Gypsy Vanners thanks to a video some years ago and was enchanted by them. Dennis Thompson brings their history to the forefront and, additionally, presents a wonderful insight into the people who first developed the beginnings of this breed and who are, often, so misunderstood. Dennis presents history well and is incredibly personable and kind. When you leave, you feel you have a new friend. Whether you are just looking for a new and unusual highlight to a vacation, or are interested in becoming more involved at some level, Gypsy Gold is the place to go. We will be returning as often as we can. Dennis has some beautiful and wonderful plans for the future that are best described by him. Go. You will not regret it. You’ll get to meet, up close, some of the finest equine specimens on the planet. Take carrots!

My family and I visited today. Dennis and Erin were wonderful. It was a unique experience, and my family felt lucky to hear Dennis' story first hand. His passion for these stunning creatures, his knowledge, and story are a wonder to witness and hear. Please ignore the people saying the over hour talk wasn't worth it. It was worth every minute, and made me teary eyed many times! We feel blessed to have met Dennis and Erin. Dennis and Erin took us on the tour of the property, where we interacted with so many of the horses. Also, Dennis' vision for the future of the Gypsy Gold Farm is just beautiful. If you love horses and animals, then you will love visiting this special place.

Wow we were at peace I wish we could live there we would take care of the horses 24/7 I know is a lot of work I have 9 dogs lol but this was by far the best experience of our life it changes me lol I see horses so different now this horses r like golden retriever but with hooves (like Tayler said ) they r so gentle and sweet is unbelievable!! Ohhh pls bring carrots I wish I did… next time I will bring lots of carrots… this experience u have to do … and they give u a history of how this beautiful animal came along is very interesting and if cought me off guard where he was going with it… if u love animals as much as we do u going to feel different about this horses… ohhh and donkeys too there is a baby there that he has tricks🤣🤣🤣🤣 u have to see!!! Before he gets too big!! Go and it will change your life!!!!❤️❤️❤️
